Hmmmmm..... While I visit my local Barnes and Noble in Corona, California, infrequently, I find their customer service to be at least friendly. In Chico, Jacob at the interior Starbucks was the only person who said hello. Even at the Customer Service desk while two service people were occupied with one customer, I greeted the young woman behind the counter when her first words to me were, "Did you want something?" Yes, but you did not have what I requested.
They have a good selection of books, ranging from many authors around the world. They also have good miscellaneous goods such as board games, calendars, puzzles, etc. If you want a place to read and have a coffee, this place is great to kill some time, even by just looking around because there is a lot to see and discover.

As a current employee of Barnes and Noble i have come to greatly appreciate the store, the wide variety of books and merchandise, the cafe, and all the employees. My favorite part is the excellent customer service and the great deals that come with the membership.
People there are great!!! They helped me find what I needed right away and answered all my questions!!! 10/10 would go again!!!
