I am power of attorney for my uncle, who suffered a stroke. He is unable to drive, so he cannot go to pick up his many prescriptions. I am very grateful for the free delivery service provided by Chico Pharmacy. When I moved my uncle up from the San Jose area, it was quite some time before I could get him a primary care physician, and his Medicare prescription coverage had a hiccup due to the move. Karen filled the prescriptions he was low on and noticed that some other prescriptions were about to expire. She filled those, too, though I was just going to wait on because he had enough of those meds at that time. She saved me a whole PASSLE of trouble. We have been long time customers, and enjoyed the consistently wonderful service. I hope that the staff doesn't get discouraged at some people's need to vent publicly. If you read this, know that you are appreciated. Keep up the great work serving Chico.
However, what this really has to do with is the STAFF: Let's begin with the somewhat blond who sits at her fax/insurance area...she is your problem...
I have watched her treat MEN especially WELL; refilling their scripts early, BIG smiles...But women...well we don't stand a chance with her crass, negative attitude and fake hellos and smiles...as she looks above her chair and decides who she'll smile at...ONLY if we're worth her time will she acknowledge you .

Once upon a nice time ago, this family owned pharmacy was friendly and caring about their patients; however it seems with the influx of medical patients, etc, us LONG term customers have been put to the wayside and treated as the scum that walk in with medi-cal.
Always friendly, they greet me by name with smile when I walk in. They have a knowledgeable staff and the most helpful and down to earth pharmacist. She always takes the time to really hear what I have to say and to answer any questions. It's especially nice that I am not made uncomfortable if I drag myself in, hair all messed up and wearing slippers when I really don't feel well. In my experience the prices are comparable if not better than many others places in town. Love that they have free and friendly delivery. They treat me like a friend whenever I call or go in. I won't go anywhere else.
