These roofers left my house exposed to the rain. Severe water damage occurred. The workers also damaged the exterior of my home. These roofers have no insurance.
On Nov. 13th, the roof was to be repaired. Bill Crane (owner) said it would take 2 days max. We talked about rain to come in 3 days. He said it would be done before the storm that was approaching. But, that did not happen. I called 3 times to demand that the roof be tarped but they refused. The storm hit and sure enough, my house was saturated. The storm was large! Bill finally came in the middle of the night but it was too late. My house was pretty much totalled. (I have a two story house)
Don't let these people near your home. They destroyed my fireplace, left a huge mess, lied about ability to do the job and refused to admit what they did to my home. They have unexperienced workers and are basically just crooks. Chico Roofing needs to be shut down.
The damage was severe. I had mold infestation and had to move into a hotel for 3 months. It cost my insurance company 30 thousand dollars to repair my home. The entire house had to be gutted, removing all the ceilings. Bill said he had insurance to cover the damages but that was a lie.
This was one of the most positive experiences I've had with a contractor. The crew showed up on time, was respectful of our property and plantings, and did a great clean-up job when they finished. The work was done expertly and I have a lot of confidence in the quality, underscored by an excellent warranty. The add-on costs (for items not visible until the roof came off) were much less than I feared, and were carefully explained to me. I got confused about the cost of one item on the bid and questioned it, and the reply was calm and polite even though I was in the wrong. I can't recommend Chico Roofing highly enough!
