Like the selection, Safeway card is awesome, just prices are a bit too high. Can be very crowded/slow at times. Staff is very friendly and helpful
The entire experience shopping at this Safeway has gone down significantly. First they raised their prices and reduced their Personal Price deals so much that I started doing most of my shopping elsewhere. This afternoon I went in for a specific purpose and decided to pick up a couple sandwiches from the deli. Very poor customer service in Deli and then poor again at the register. A simple hello or some type of greeting is appreciated. Instead other personal conversation carried on. I won't hurry back to the Mangrove Safeway any time soon.
Safeway is a great place to stop by for a guick bite or to grab what you need to prepare a gourmet meal. The clerks are always helpful and the prices are fair. Suprisingly they have fresh made sushi that is very nice. Also, a great selection of cheese. Grab some gourmet crackers and a bottle of wine and you have a great start to a cozy evening. What ever your situation you will find just the right ingredients at Safeway.
Safeway is a full service grocery store. Safeway has a long-standing good reputation for Quality Foods and good value. The Safeway on Mangrove in Chico, has a full service butcher and also has a deli and a place to buy prepay prepared foods. Safeway has a big produce department with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Good prices and the BEST sourdough bread around. We do most of our shopping there and appreciate the gas rewards as well.
