Well I went to Kirks and the welcome there was wonderful. They get the money I plan on spending.
I was met by a really rude man when my now fiance and I entered the store. We were in the market for an engagement ring/wedding set. We asked what the value was on an old platinum ring we had, that we were deciding whether or not to sell, melt or trade toward a new piece. The employee snatched the ring out of my hand and disappeared in the back room with it for about twenty minutes, when he came out he offered less than half of the current scrap value for the ring not accounting for any diamonds. When I tried to ask how he had arrived at his figure he would not even answer me and ran in the back(guess he did not count on me knowing scrap metal value by gram for platinum).We were so taken aback by his rude treatment of us(guess he thought we were just selling,not buying, not worth treating well) we decided to leave. Too bad for Cliffords, we had used them in the past for insurance appraisals(guess he did not recognize us). My fiance took me to Los Angeles and bought me a gorgeous diamond ring this past weekend and as for the platinum ring we decided to keep it. I will never spend money in that store again, and that employees attitude literally cost them thousands of our dollars. I will not recommend this store and will tell every person I meet here in Chico to protect themselves by shopping elsewhere.
Dark haired woman behind the counter. Try a smile and a greet. Life is too dam short to deal with rude people.
The woman/girl behind the counter was rude, she made me feel as if they were so rich they did not need any customers. Well she lost this one. Not even the Jewerly would come from the back room and talk to me. Its crazy to have a buisness but not need money.
I went into the store yesterday for a few reasons. One was to get my jewerly looked at and I wanted to also have some jewerly made for my family.
