The property is nice to take a stroll around. The guided tours are always well worth it, their a bit different every time.
This mansion is very well taken care of with mostly historically accurate furniture, etc. The docents are very knowledgeable and friendly. The fee to enter is reasonable. An informative center and movie precedes the visit to the actual mansion. Parking can be impossible during Chico State class hours, but it is worth the effort.
We walked the grounds, it is well taken care of. The gift shop has a lot of nice things. Tours of the mansion every hour, $6 for adults/$3 under 18.
It was closed when I got there, but the place is beautiful and well-kept.
