First time I made an appointment online, and came in to the technician saying that system doesn't really work and it would be 2+ hours for an oil change. I made an appointment for the next day in person without incident.
A 1 1/2 hour trailer hitch installation took 3 1/2 hours and $60. over estimate. Should have had Uhaul do it.
Came in early to beat the Saturday rush. Everyone was ready to help! Great service, quick and friendly through the whole process. The service dept had me back on the road in no time! And stayed true to their Pep Boys warranty on my battery. Travis was quick and very professional with the install. The gentlemen up front were courteous and answered every question. Couldn't have asked for a better experience, or outcome, from something that can be so stressful! Thanks Pep Boys!
Everytime my girlfriend went to this pep boys they did something wrong or broke something and we had to fix it. Or I would go in and make them fix their mistake, what a giant hassle it was. So much wasted time dealing with their mistakes. Eventually I told her just stop going you know they will mess it up. Seriously like 4 or 5 major screw ups I've dealt with from them. Manager needs to get on top of things and change things around or face losing major business to incompetence.
Don't make booking online appointments an option if they don't actually get scheduled, and don't say a service is 30min when it's 1.5+ hours
Second time, I called to make an appointment. I come in and they said 45min to 1 hour. The website says 30min oil change service. I waited for another hour before hearing it would be at least another 30min before my car was done. I've already worked an 8 hour day and have other things to get done.
Went in today for a new battery! They were awesome. Tested my old one and installed the new one. Very friendly! No nonsense.
