Unbelievable. I went in because I suddenly noticed an extreme change in my eyesight. Spent over an hour having everything tested and being reassured the ordering department (which has been a nightmare in the past) had been "outsourced" to allow better service with little or no wait time. In what turned out to be a lucky break, I was unable to order my new contacts and glasses since there would be over an hour wait. That probably saved me $500 or so. I was a bit concerned that my new contacts did not seem to have improved my vision, in fact, it seemed worse "give them some time to settle in". I went on to work 45 miles away, realizing that my vision was not improved at all. Made it through with 3x readers over my new and improved contacts. When I tried to drive home in the dark, I became aware that I could not see at all with any glare. I removed the new contacts so I could get home. Back at the office, I was scolded for not wearing my new contacts, although I made it clear I was returning because they did not work at all. "So do you want to just go back to your old contacts?". Why would I have spent all of that time and $100 for "refitting" if my old ones were okay? Thank goodness I did not buy new glasses and contacts. The doctor told me "I believe you, but anyone looking at your chart would agree, your vision is 100% corrected". But everything I see is blurry, and I need to read and drive to be able to work, which is a big deal for me. "I won't charge you for this return visit". Really? Decided to cut my losses and go somewhere else, which I have planned to do for years-but this place is like Comcast. They will stalk you like a deranged ex lover, promising improvements that never happen. It is like maybe they we're assuming I was some scammer trying to make this all up, which only contributed to my distress. Too late for me, but others should avoid this place.
I really like my doctor. The staff is great. The nurses are very friendly. The wait time, on the other hand, is usually 30/45 minutes past your appointment time.
I had my eyes Cataracts Surgery done at the Chico Eye Clinic. They were very professional. They make the procedure very smooth. I'm happy with all the staff very nice. I would recommend them to anyone
