No one should ever shop at Ashley Furniture. I ordered a couch and coffee table April 24th it arrived Aug 26th. The coffee table was broken, I called to get it replaced I was told it would be replaced with in 2-3 weeks. It is now Sept 21st and I am being told it is estimated to be loaded Sept 27th!!! Load date is Sept 27th!!! It should have been replaced Between the 9th and 16th. Why do I still have a broken coffee table taking up space in my living room. Worst service any business could have. 5 months and sill their order has not been fulfilled.
When I walked into Ashleys of Chico Ca three months ago, I asked the sales associates if there was a promostion going on, like no intereste, no payment for one year. The sales associates said that if I made a purchase, he would get me this deal. Well, three months later, Wells Fargo's Collection department called me to let me know that I have a late fee and that I needed to start making the payments as soon as possible. I am very disappointed with this store! NOt only had I been a customer in the past by my sister, niece and nephews had made purchase from this store! Needless to say, I am never going back to Ashleys's Furniture Store
I bought a couch from Ashley furniture 11 weeks ago. Still don't have it, or an apology. The people who work there never call you back, and now they don't answer the phone, it goes to voice mail. I only got through because I am smarter than they are. I am so thankful I used my American Express to buy it because they will collect the money from Ashley and I can get a couch somewhere else. I kinda think that they don't for some reason really like selling furniture. I would bet that they are the next business in Chico to go bankrupt.
Ordered dining room table and chairs 01/17/09. After 12 weeks of inquiries and waiting patiently... it never arrived. Finally had to cancel the order with a written agreement that we would receive 100% refund. We are moving into 16 weeks since our original purchase and subsequent cancellation and still Ashley has not refunded our money. We went to Evan's Furniture in Yuba City the same day we canceled with Ashley - ordered the EXACT same furniture and learned that it is an exclusive 'Ashley' product and it ships from the the same place in southern CA that Ashley was telling us they were waiting on. Added bonus; Evan's reduced the price by 5% from Ashley's. - Our furniture arrived within 10 days to Evan's Furniture!!! Now, how is that? Why is that? Ashley in Chico is a rip-off! They must have a bad relationship with the guys down in So.CA. So, here's a warning, don't shop Ashley Furniture. If you do... don't give them any money without walking out of the store with your purchase in hand. We have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. ****UPDATE - within 48 hours of BBB contacting Ashley Furniture, our money was refunded. Sad it took such measures, but at least this mess is over.
