They do got good movies but the rule about only five or one new movie and it can't be mixed so .are you saying you don't want our money or what?

So there I am, a paying customer with an account in good standing, cash in hand, explaining to my 5 year old why she can't take home all the movies she picked out.

I rented a DVD of an old cartoon for my daughter. The DVD played half way through and kept shutting off. I tried two DVD players so I knew it was the disc. I didn't bother saying anything when I brought it back because she tore the back of the case and the back cover. (She's 3) I brought it in to buy the DVD and they kept the DVD and charged me $2 for the case (reasonable) and FIVE DOLLARS for "cover replacement" what irritated me is the front cover was not damaged and they kept both the case they charged me for and the front cover. They have two copies of the cartoon in the store to easily copy the back cover. So if I paid for the case and the cover shouldn't I get to keep them? Not to mention it cost more to replace that BROKEN old Mario TV show cover and case than it did to rent the movies, and the entire price of the DVD wouldn't be worth that. Seemed like a poor way to do business with a potential weekly customer, and I won't be back.
The employee at the counter says because I haven't rented 50 movies from them, we can only rent 2 new releases. That's their policy; until you've rented 50 movies, you're limited as to how many movies you can take home.
I've had an account here for several years. Guessing close to a decade. I brought my kids in today and we picked out 4 movies for the weekend.
I love the store experience and am willing to pay extra for it, but not if we can't load up on whatever movies we choose. There's a big Red Box down the street that'll let us rent as movies as want for less money.
